Lew Young
Lew graduated from the Saskatchewan Funeral
Service Association in 1977 and began work with our firm that same
year. He worked four
years in Funeral Service prior
in Weyburn, Saskatchewan.
As a licensed
embalmer and funeral director Lew also is a licensed
pre-paid Funeral Sales Person serving our community for 32
years. In June of 2009 Lew was named President of W.J.Jones. Lew
is active in the community having served on the local School board
for many years.

Gerry Mitchell
Gerry joined our staff in 1998. He served his
apprenticeship with our firm and graduated from the Saskatchewan
Funeral Service Association as
a licensed embalmer and funeral director in the spring of 2001.
Gerry is a licensed pre-paid Funeral Sales Person. In June of 2009
Gerry was named Vice-President and Operating General Manager.
For all his life he has been active and enjoyed all sports most
recently involved in biking and running, having participated in
marathon and half marathon races locally and Provincially. |

Della Ferguson
As our Family Continued Care Coordinator. Della
brings to our families her
caring, compassionate personality and experience as she visits
with families following the death of their loved one. Della
officiates at funeral services as a Celebrant. She had
served as Director
of Education at one
of Moose Jaw's United churches for 11 years prior to
accepting her position with us in 1998.

Mark Forbes
Mark is responsible for the day to day duties at
Prairie Memorial Crematorium as well as
maintaining the Columbarium niche spaces. He also
assists
as a funeral service attendant. Mark started working at W. J. Jones in 2000.

Donna Forbes
Donna joined our Funeral Home in 1985.
Donna is an assistant receptionist, secretary and is responsible
for administration for our Pre-need Funeral Planning office.
|

|
Dayna Smith - Short
Dayna graduated from Mount Royal in Calgary
and obtained her Saskatchewan (FCSC) certification as a Funeral Director
in 2007 when she joined our staff. She is a licensed embalmer and
funeral director as well as a crematorium technician. Dayna also assists families in
designing and the creation of a memorial headstone as a qualified Remco
Memorial representative. She also was asked to chair the committee in
regards to Pandemic Planning for the Saskatchewan Funeral and Cremation
Services Council. Recently, Dayna accepted the position as Program Head of
Funeral Services with SIAST.

Our part time staff also include many well respected citizens of Moose Jaw
and area who attend to family evening prayers, visitations, assist as
attendants at funeral services and coordinate funeral receptions.
