ERIKA ENNS

Erika Enns (nee: Friesen) passed away Tuesday October 15, 2002 at the age of 75 years. Erika was born January 23, 1927 in Rush Lake, Sask.  She married her school sweetheart in 1951, farmed at Tugaske, Sask. until 1996 when they retired to Moose Jaw, where they continued to enjoy visits from relatives and friends and made many new friendships. Erika was a strong member of the church and community.  She enjoyed quilting, genealogy, writing and volunteering.  Erika was predeceased by her father, George Friesen, mother, Susie Stobbe, brothers, Victor and Rudy and infant son, Kenneth. Erika, fondly known as “Ricky” is survived by her loving husband of 51 years John, children: Alvena (Lorne) Cooper – Saskatoon, Elroy (Myrna) Enns – Eyebrow,  Raymond (Kathleen) Enns – Kenaston, Eleanor (Stew) Shepherdson – Moose Jaw,  Karen (Philip) Fullerton – Lacadena, Connie (Dan) Boehr – Watrous,  Gerald (Linda) Enns – Tugaske, Lenita (Ron) Gutiw – Calgary, Rhonda Enns (Richard)  – Tugaske, and 27 grandchildren, brothers: Art (Hilda) Friesen, Henry (Sara) Friesen, sisters: Louise (Jim) Griffith, Erna (Pete) Doell; as well as many other close relatives.  The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday,October 19, 2002 at 11:30 A.M. at the Alliance Church (Corner of  Ninth Avenue N.W.  and Thatcher Drive).  Rev. Steven MacCuaig will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan Box 521,Moose Jaw, S6H 4P2, would be appreciated.  In living memory of Ricky, a tree will be planted in Wakamow Valley by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.
