CHARLES (CHUCK) ELSOM

CHARLES EDWARD (CHUCK) ELSOM born June 28, 1934 in Moose Jaw, passed away peacefully on his farm home on Friday, June 14, 2002 at the age of 67 years.  Charles attended Public School in Boharm and Technical High School in Moose Jaw. He married Elizabeth Ann Clark in 1960 and the couple farmed and raised cattle in the Boharm and Caron district until his death.  Predeceased by his parents George and Mae Elsom and his brother John Elsom.  He is survived by his  wife Elizabeth, son Jeffrey (Sandra) and daughters: Susan (Lee) Van Buskirk and Mary Kathleen (Shawn) Schick; grandchildren: Rachel, Sarah, Isaac and Stephanie Elsom; Jessica and Shannon Van Buskirk, his brother George Elsom and an aunt, Mary McLaren (Elsom). Funeral Services will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church, 60 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw on Wednesday, June 19, 2002 at 1:30 p.m.  Reverend Peter J. Calhoun will officiate.  Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. Those so wishing may forward memorials to the Home Care Palliative Care Program, 455 Fairford St. E., Moose Jaw, Sask., S6H 1H3 or to the Canadian Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 1061, Moose Jaw, Sask., S6H 4P8.  In living memory of Charles, a tree will be planted in Wakamow Valley by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.
