Mr.
Ralph Doney of Providence
Place
and longtime resident of Boharm passed away peacefully on
Friday
February 15, 2002
at the age of 87 years. Born
in Moose
Jaw
April
20, 1914
and raised in the Boharm district.
Ralph farmed in this district all his life.
He enjoyed farming and especially his love and care for all
his livestock. In 1945
he married Gladys his
first wife. She passed
away in 1986 after forty-one years of marriage.
On October 1991, Ralph
married Alma Fortman and the couple resided in
Moose
Jaw.
Predeceased by his parents; an infant son, James and his
first wife, Gladys; four brothers:
Harold, Don, Vivian, Eric and two sisters: Joyce and
Marguerite. He
is survived by his wife: Alma – Moose
Jaw; daughter: Betty (Robert) Whiteman:
Ninton
Junction
,
Alberta;
son: Gordon (Nancy
)
– Moose
Jaw,
step-daughter, Etta
(Bill) Froats – Moose
Jaw;
step-son: Robert (Shirley) Fortman – Brownlee; fourteen grandchildren
and six great-grandchildren.
The Funeral Service will be held at W. J. Jones & Son Funeral
Chapel on Wednesday February 20, 2002 at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Phil
Canning will officiate. Interment
will follow at
Rosedale
cemetery. Visitation
for family and friends will be on Tuesday evening from
7
– 9 p.m.
at the Funeral Home. Memorials
may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association 104 – 2301 Ave.
C. North,
Saskatoon,
Sk. S7L 5Z5 or the charity of ones choice.
In living memory of Ralph,
a tree will be planted in Wakamow
Valley
by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.
