Albert
Charleton (Ab) Deyo of Devon,
Alberta, and formerly of the Boharm district passed
away peacefully on Wednesday May 15, 2002
at the age of 82 years. Ab was predeceased by his parents, Jacob and Ida;
his wife, Eileen; and brothers:
Claire, Harold, and John. Ab will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered by his
wife, Peggy of Devon; son, Bill (Judy), Carma and Crystal;
daughter, Bev (Gord) Graham, Shaun and Jillian of Cochrane, Alta.; and step-daughter, Roberta Peirson, Terry and Brad of
Westlock, Alta.; and
seven great-grandchildren. Ab
farmed the family farm north of Boharm for 30 years before
retiring to Devon, Alberta
in 1975. Ab
loved a good joke, telling stories, golfing, cooking on his bar-b-que,
gardening, and feeding the wild birds.
He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humour and
quick wit. Ab was a
member of the Caron/Mortlach Lodge #42 A.F. & A.M. G.R.S.,
Moose Jaw Grand Chapter #3 R.A.M., a member of Al Shamal Shriners,
a member of the Oriental Band of Al Shamal Shriners, and a member
of Edmonton Court #190 R.O.J.
He was a past president of the Saskatchewan B.P.O.E.
Following a private interment at Sunset
Cemetery, there will be a Celebration of Ab’s life on
Saturday May 25, 2002
from 2:00
to 4:00 pm.
at the Royal Canadian Legion, 268 High Street West, Moose Jaw. In
lieu of flowers, memorials to the Canadian Cancer Society, 223
Fairford St.E., Moose Jaw, S6H 0E1, or the charity of one’s choice in Ab’s
memory would be appreciated. In living memory of Ab, a tree will be planted in Wakamow
Valley
by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.
