ROBERT
(BOB) EDWARD COUZENS of
Moose Jaw, passed
away May 4, 2002. He was born in
Moose Jaw
May 20, 1910. His parents were Moose Jaw Pioneers, Reuben and Aggie (Holdsworth)
Couzens. Bob spent
most of his life in Moose Jaw. He married Dorothy Stevenson in 1932.
He was Postmaster and ran the store in Stonehenge,
Saskatchewan
for a short
time before he built and operated Couzens Grocery on Fairford
Street, across
from
Crescent
Park
for many
years. When the store
was sold he worked until retirement at Moose Jaw
Sash and Door. Bob
was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy in 1985, son, Don (Dorothy)
of Victoria, B.C. in
February, 2002, brother, Gordon; sisters: Ruby Clemenshaw and
Joyce Steel. He will
be sadly missed by his daughter, Shirley of Vernon, B.C., brother
Clarence (Mike) of Penticton,
B.C.,
sister, Marjorie Weir of Seattle, Wash., five
grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces
and nephews. At
Bob’s request, there will be no funeral service.
Flowers are gratefully declined.
In living memory of Bob, a tree
will be planted in Wakamow
Valley
by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.
