HARRY BRUVOLD

Mr. Harry Bruvold of Eyebrow, Sask., passed away November 15, 2002 at the age of 76 years. Harry was born at Darmody on January 14, 1926, the youngest of 14 children. He lived at Darmody until 1968 when he moved to northern B.C., living at Tupper, Dawson Creek, Burns Lake, and Fort St. James before retiring to Eyebrow in 1999.  Harry is predeceased by his parents; son, Harold; a grandson; sisters, Tillie, Mary, Mable, Sylvia, and Judy; and brothers, Oliver, Bennie, Lenard, and Harold.  He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Anna; daughter, Gloria (Butch) Harris – Meadow Lake, Sask.; son, Don (Sharon) Bruvold – Fort St.James, B.C.; grandchildren: Crystal (Terry) Murray, Stacey (Shane) Nolan and Coby Harris – all of Meadow Lake; Troy (Lisa) Bruvold, Toby (Tabatha) Bruvold – Fort St.James, B.C.; and great-grandchildren: Jillian, Rachel, Madeline and Cassidy – Meadow Lake;  Jessika, Dylan, Alexandra and Erica – Fort St.James; sisters and brother: Louise, Edna, Sam and Annie; and also many nieces and nephews who always thought of him as Happy Uncle Harry.  Following Cremation, a Service of Remembrance for Harry will be held at the Eyebrow Community Hall on Tuesday, November 19, 2002 at 2:30 pm. Reverend Frank Mitchell will officiate. Memorial- ization will take place privately at the family plot, Rosedale Cemetery in Moose Jaw at a later date.  Memorials to the Central Butte & District Health Care Foundation, S0H 0T0 would be appreciated.  In living memory of Harry, a tree will be planted in Wakamow Valley by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.

Raymond Bruvold - Victoria, BC: Dear Uncle Harry, I am so happy to have known you in my life. I will never forget the memorable weekends to the homestead farm at Darmody, SK, playing as a child with your children, Donald and Gloria and hearing the resounding laughter of you and your loving wife, Anna. When you visited my family, all the cares and worries of the world disappeared with your laughter and good will. I will carry this in my head and heart forever. Peace be with you. Evelyn Cartlidge - Nelson B.C.: You are sadly missed by all.  We wonder if you are riding in your sliegh that you were working on.  Enjoy the ride Uncle Harry I'm sure you are laughing all the way.  Love Evelyn.

Owen Bruvold - Dawson Creek, BC: I am grandson of Bennie Bruvold and son of Howard Bruvold. when I seen the picture of Harry I thought I was looking at my grandpa Benny. It brought back good memories of a grandfather who had a special place in my life. I miss him dearly.

Basil and Yvonne Simpson - Eyebrow, Sask Dear Uncle Harry :We will miss your sweet laughter and that smile. I hope you laugh as much now as you always did. May you play as good a tunes on your violin with a shoestring bow as you did when you were here. We will never ever forget you.
