JACK BATTY

MR. JACK E. BATTY of Moose Jaw, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2002 at the age of 91 years.  Born in Owen Sound, Ontario, Jack came to Saskatchewan as an infant with his parents to the Limerick district.  He bought grain for many years for the Patterson Grain Company.  Jack married Adella Mae Coleman in 1940 and in July 1947, purchased his own grocery store in Moose Jaw known as Batty’s Fine Foods, corner of Hall & Third N.E. Jack was involved with many community activities but will be remembered for his work with the Masons and Shriners.  Friends are invited to join the family in sharing the memory of Jack’s life on Saturday, April 27, 2002 1:30 pm – 3pm in the W. J. Jones & Son Family Centre, 262 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw.  Cremation has taken place and memorialization will follow in the family plot, Assiniboia at a later date. In living memory of Jack, a tree will be planted in Wakamow Valley by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.
