Ken was a farmer in the Courval district for many years.
Ken was born in 1927
in
Toronto
,
Ontario
.
He was raised and farmed in the Courval area until retiring
to Mossbank in the late 1970’s.A man of few words, Ken was a
people watcher who took in all that went on around him. Ken was a
bachelor and was a very active member of the Mossbank 50 Plus
Club. He would never
turn down a game of rummy and spent many hours playing at the
Senior’s Centre. He
also helped maintain the grass and flowers at the hall. In 1991,
Ken had a heart attack and from that point on he was an avid
walker to keep his heart in shape. He loved the outdoors and loved
to keep his eyes on the crops in the area. We will fondly remember
his sparkling blue eyes that lit up his whole face when he smiled
and his favourite saying…“It
don’t matter!”
He
is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Roland
Nelson of
Surrey
,
B.C., three nieces, one nephew, seven great-nieces and nephews and
three great-great- nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his father and step-father, his mother,
Annie Muxlow and brother, Gordon Robert Anderson.
A Memorial Service will be held on
Friday, March 22,
2002
at
1:30 p.m.
at
Mossbank
United
Church
.
Reverend David Peebles will officiate.
Memorialization will take place at a later date. Flowers
are gratefully declined, donations to Mossbank Seniors Centre,
Mossbank
United
Church
or to a charity of one’s choice. In
living memory of Kenneth, a tree will be planted in
Wakamow
Valley
by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
