HOWARD MOSER

Howard John Moser passed away suddenly on the morning of May 2, 2008 at the age of 52.  He was predeceased by his mother Alice Jean in March 1964, his father William April 2, 1996, and his brother-in-law Stan Weinbender December 3, 2007.  He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Anne, his son William Christopher Dean (fiancé Rena Little); daughters Melissa Ann, and Teresa (Cory) Wheeler and their son Bailey Richard Howard.  He also leaves to mourn his sisters, Grace (Jack) Swanson, Shirley (Gary) Whitt, and Clair Weinbender, and their families, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  Howard was born on the family farm on April 5, 1956 and received his schooling at Morse.  After graduating, he went to work with his Dad on the family farm and also kept very busy with his construction work.  Howie was also a member of the Lions Club for a number of years.  He loved playing crib and visiting with friends around the “round” table and hunting for arrowheads.  He had a very extensive collection of artifacts.  Howie loved his children and would tell them stories of when he was a child.  He loved to fish and often took his son, nephew and friends with him, Ernie and Dan to name a few.  Howie worked on crossword puzzles and read book after book on history and on how things were made.  He will be sadly missed by family and friends.  A Celebration of Howie’s life was held on Tuesday May 6, 2008 at the Morse Community Hall. Jack Weppler acted as Master of Ceremonies. Following the Service, family and friends were invited to the farm for a lunch and to share memories. Donations in Howie’s memory may be made to the Morse Museum.  In living memory of Howie, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by Prairie Memorial Funeral Home, Chaplin.
