JANE MORDEN 

Margaret Jane Morden passed away peacefully on January 30, 2008 at 87 years of age.  She was predeceased by her parents, Annie and Robert Patton, husband Willie Morden and sister Bobbie Mulholland.  Jane is survived by her sisters, Jessie Payne and Annie Currie of Central Butte; sons, Stanley (Carol) of Broadview, and Leo of Central Butte; grandchildren: Robin Morden of Winnipeg, MB, Oriole (Marlin) Johnson of Martensville, SK, Marty Morden (friend Monica) of Dauphin, MB, and Curtis Morden of Calgary; great-grandson Dustin Johnson of Edmonton, AB; great-granddaughters Desirae and Shayla Johnson of Martensville; and several nieces and nephews.  Jane was born in Donghadee, Ireland July 9, 1920.  She arrived in Canada in Quebec in 1926 at the age of 6, along with her sisters Annie age 4 and Jessie age 4 months.  Her sister Bobbie was born in Central Butte in 1934.  Jane married Willie Morden on July 21, 1937. They raised two sons on the farm where Jane remained until moving to Regency Manor in Central Butte. Jane was an avid gardener and loved animals. She always had pet cows, lambs, ducks, chickens, dogs, and cats, and even at one time had a pet crow and skunk.  Jane also enjoyed dancing and belonged to many different clubs. She also loved to travel and saw many countries; the most enjoyable were Australia and Ireland. The Funeral Service will be held at the Central Butte United Church on Saturday February 2, 2008 at 2:00 pm. Pastor Marvin Seaborg will officiate. Interment will follow at the Central Butte Cemetery. Memorials in Margaret’s memory can be made to the Sask. Heart & Stroke Foundation, 2360 – 2nd Ave., Regina, SK, S4R 1A6 or the Regency Manor, Central Butte, SK. In living memory of Jane, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.
