BRUCE A. MACDIARMID

With sadness we announce the passing of our husband, father and grandfather, Bruce, on February 9, 2008. Bruce was born in Moose Jaw on August 13, 1938.  He enjoyed his 38 year career with Trans Canada Pipelines. He loved the work and the people he met throughout his career and travels.  Bruce was affectionately known as “Cowboy” because of his love of horses and rodeo. He was also an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed watching his kids and grandkids play hockey, baseball and other activities.  Bruce is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Gail;  daughter Tracy (Howard) Campbell and their children Kelsey and J.J.; son Duncan (Wendy) of Medicine Hat and their children Ashly, Kyly, and Haily; daughter Dyan (Brian) Magee and their son Aidan;  brother Roger (Donna) of New Brunswick; his “little buddy” Patch; and many extended family.  Bruce was predeceased by his parents, Archie and Irene Macdiarmid and a son Jaret Shawn.  A Celebration of Bruce’s life will be held at W.J.Jones & Son Chapel on Thursday February 14, 2008 at 2:00 pm.  Della Ferguson will be the celebrant. Memorialization will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Moose Jaw Minor Hockey, Box 165, Moose Jaw, S6H 4N8, would be appreciated. In living memory of Bruce, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.

May God comfort you and give you the strength to live a happy life as we are sure Bruce would want you to do. When we think of him it brings a smile to our faces-- he had a great sense of humor.
