RONALD HURRION

Ronald Graham Hurrion, of Moose Jaw passed away peacefully January 15, 2008.  Ron was born October 27, 1921 in Croydon, England. He grew up in Croydon, and came to Moose Jaw as ordered by the British Air Force and met his wife of 64 years.  Ron is predeceased by his wife, Beulah Circe Hurrion; parents Alice and Albert; brothers Cyril, Peter, Leslie, Jim, Jack and Albert; sisters, Peggy and Joan; infant grandchildren; David, Randy and Darren.  He leaves to celebrate his life; daughters; Valerie (Harry) Trew, Pamela (Garnet) Peterson, grandchildren; Todd (Sherri), Sheila of Los Angeles, Melissa (John), and Graham, great-grandchildren; Ashleigh, Teanika, Heather, Miranda and Jayden, sister, Winnie; and all his long time friends.  The family would like to thank Dr. Brian Sanderson, Dr. Miller and the staff at Moose Jaw Union Hospital who took special interest in caring for him in his time of passing.  A Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2008 at 3:30 pm in the W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, 106 Athabasca St.E., Moose Jaw. Major Don Law will officiate.  Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday evening 7 – 8 pm at the Funeral Home.  For those so wishing, memorial donations to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, Box 102, 103 Hospital Drive, Saskatoon, SK. S7N 0W8. In living memory of Ron, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.

Brenda, Jim, Jaime and Aunt Dorothy - Oakville, ON: We were so sorry to hear of Ron's passing so soon after Beulah.  I remember visiting with Beulah and Ron and family in Moose Jaw on our trips west to see the family.  I will always have that memory of Ron riding the unicycle up the street.  He was always trying new things and had a great sense of humour.  We are glad that they are together again.  God Bless.

Bob Blakey - Calgary, Alberta: Ron was a friend of my uncle, Harry Blakey of Moose Jaw, and my father Bob, of the Seattle area (both deceased). Sorry to hear of Ron's passing. I always enjoyed his company and stories. He was a very generous, kind and intelligent man with a sharp sense of humour. My condolences to Valerie, Pamela and all the family.
