EVA HUDGIN

The family and friends of Eva Ellen Hudgin are saddened by her passing Saturday January 26, 2008. Born November 1, 1916 at Cupar, Sask. Eva was a true, prairie spirit enjoying prairie sunsets and wildflowers. Eva was a meticulous record keeper and scrap booker, this served her well in her professions of Teacher and Secretary at Union Hospital for 27 years as well as in her volunteer job as Secretary of Sunday School and the many different groups she belonged to which she loved at Hillcrest Apostolic Church over the past 60 years. She left a wonderfu11egacy in her written journals and scrapbooks. Eva had a keen appetite for knowledge, politics and world events, which continued throughout her life. An inspiration to all, Eva had amazing faith, age never being a factor with her first aerobics class, keyboard lessons, and a computer class in her 80's. Her parents, Howard and Francis, sister Rita, brothers Clarence, Earl, William, Roy and Lloyd predeceased Eva. Left to cherish her memory is her sisters, Mary (DeWayne) Wauson and Neata Williams; brothers Garnet and Ryan Hudgin, as well her nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held at the Hillcrest Apostolic Church, Friday February 1, 2008 at 1:00 pm.  Pastor Steve Atkins will officiate.  Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. Memorials to Joe’s Place, or the Hillcrest Apostolic Church, would be appreciated.  In living memory of Eva, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.
