FRANK E. HETHERINGTON

Frank Elmer Hetherington, passed away peacefully in the Nanaimo General Regional Hospital on May 1, 2008. Frank was born July 14, 1915, near Stoughton, SK and grew up in the Arcola area and at Souris, MB.  He married Alvina Beryl Johnson in Regina on May 9, 1944 and moved to Moose Jaw where they raised their two children and lived for over 50 years. They moved to Nanaimo in 2002 to be closer to family.  He is survived by: daughter, Barbara Ruth Tymos, son, Daniel Frank (Barbara) Hetherington; four grandchildren; sister-in-law, Isabel Johnson, and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held at W.J.Jones & Son Chapel on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations could be made to the Canadian Bible Society, 1034 Louise Ave., Saskatoon, SK, S7H 2P6.  In living memory of Frank, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.

Dennis & Irene Auger - Moose Jaw, SK: The Hetheringtons were neighbours across the street from us. We got to know them quite well. They left us with many excellent memories. Even after they left for Nanaimo, I would always visualize them going for their walks together hand in hand. We missed them both. They lived their faith to the fullest. Our deepest sympathies to you Ruth & Dan/Barbara and your families at the lost of a Father & Grandfather
