FRANCIS FAY

Mr. Francis Fay, age 80, of Moose Jaw, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2007.  Francis was born in the Gravelbourg district April 28, 1926 to Berta and Peter Fay.  He joined the Royal Canadian Airforce in 1943 and was a rear gunner, stationed in India. Francis married Anna Carey in 1950 and they raised four children while farming in the Gravelbourg and Palmer districts. In 1978 he moved to Moose Jaw where he enjoyed looking after his yard and babysitting his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents and a premature baby, his brothers, Lloyd, Lucien, and Norman, and sisters, Florence and Cecilia; seven brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law.  He is survived by his wife, Anna; children: Doris (Richard), Marilyn, Wayne (Colleen), and Jean (Ken); grandchildren:  Dale, James (Selina), Jeannette (Jaymie), Michelle (Richard), Kristie, Shane, and Ryan; great-grandchildren: Taylor and Emily; sisters: Annette, Mildred, Eileen (Victor), Mavis (Allan) and Eunice; five sisters-in-law, and three brothers-in-law.  The Funeral Service will be held at W.J.Jones & Son Chapel on Friday January 12, 2007 at 1:30 pm. Reverend David Moore will officiate Royal Canadian Legion Funeral Rites will be conducted by Roscoe Steele.   Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery.  Memorials to the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund, 268 High ST.W., Moose Jaw, S6H 1S8, or the Canadian Mental Health Association, 261 High St.W., Moose Jaw, S6H 1S7, would be appreciated.  In living memory of Francis, a tree has been planted in Wakamow Valley by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.
