HAZEL EVES

Hazel Eves, age 82, of Moose Jaw, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2007 surrounded by the love of her family, to be reunited with her beloved husband Howard. Hazel could be seen throughout the Moose Jaw area, usually accompanied by Howard, enjoying their life of farming, delivering eggs, social and square dancing, playing bridge, camping, bowling and golfing. Hazel enjoyed reading, needlework of all kinds, puzzles, tending to the vegetable garden, and was an avid Blue Jays fan. The Grandchildren's sporting events often brought them to Moose Jaw and Hazel was always there to watch and provide encouragement. Hazel's love of her family was always apparent with the many special family gatherings each year. Predeceased by Howard, her husband of 57 years (Sept. 2006), and one brother Robert Laing; left to cherish her memories are her children: Dennis - Maple Ridge, Gladys (Jack) Watson - Regina, Carolyn (John) Kwong - Regina, and Janet (Gordon) Walker - Edmonton; grandchildren: Derrick (Rhonda), Paul (Sarah), David (Janice) Eves; Michelle (Derek) Henry and Devin Watson; Janelle, Jarett, Jolyn, and Jayla Kwong; great-grandchildren: Chelisa, Nolan, Cassandra, Alexander, and Gabriel Eves; one brother, Gordon (Eva) Laing, and sister-in-law Ruth Laing, and many other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Hazel's life will be held at Minto United Church, 1036 Seventh Ave. N.W., Moose Jaw on Saturday February 3, 2007 at 1:30 pm. Reverend John Carley will officiate. Private family interment will take place at Sunset Cemetery prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Allan Blair Cancer Clinic 4101Dewdney Ave., Regina, SK, S4T 1A5, would be appreciated. In living memory of Hazel, a tree will be planted in Wakamow Valley by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.

Murray Laing and Viola Tyler: Mitchell, Ontario : I am sorry I could not be at the funeral. I send my condolences to all of you and wish I could have been there. Aunt Hazel was a wonderful and strong woman. I only hope I can be loved in my lifetime by as many people as she was. I have many memories of her and I will always keep them close to my heart. I will miss her dearly, but know she is in a better place now. I also know there are many people there to give her love. You are all in my prayers and I miss all of you during this time.
