Eleanor
Myrtle Engler,
aged
92 years of Moose Jaw
passed away peacefully Saturday April 21, 2007. Myrtle was born in Cabri, SK. She married George Engler
December 10, 1939 in Lancer, SK. Eleanor and George moved to Moose Jaw
in1945. She was a homemaker and worked for a time at Canadays.
Eleanor enjoyed gardening, sewing, and a good hand of
cards. She was also a talented artist, leaving family members with
many keepsakes. Eleanor’s greatest joy was her children, grandchildren,
great and great-great-grandchildren.
She spent many hours caring, playing and photographing them
all.
Eleanor is predeceased by her husband, George in 1998, her
parents and all her siblings.
She leaves to mourn her loving family: daughters, Eleanor (Leo) Hochban – Moose Jaw, Caroline
(Don) Moerike – Medicine Hat, and son, Kelly (Kathy) Engler –
Moose Jaw; her grandchildren: Gary, Lynly, Brenda, Debbie, Cindy,
Cathy, Stephan, Alanna, and Sydney; great-grandchildren: Chris,
Crystal, Evan, Andrew, Carla, Patrick, Allan, Kali, Taylor, and
Isabelle; great-great-grandchildren: Maja, Tyran, Stevie, and
Xander. A Private Family Service will be held at W.J.Jones &
Son Chapel. Interment will follow at Rosedale
Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Pioneers Lodge, 1000 Albert St.,
Moose Jaw,
S6H 2Y2, would be appreciated.
In living memory of Eleanor, a tree has been planted
in Wakamow
Valley
by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.
