CHRISTINA ELSWORTH

CHRISTINA ELSWORTH (nee: Tantum) of Drinkwater, Saskatchewan passed away peacefully in her sleep August 17, 2007.  Born December 25, 1947 in Cardiff, Wales, Chris immigrated to Canada in 1974.  She is survived by her loving husband, Alan Elsworth, who she married in 1996; children: Howard (Misty), Julie, Paul (Julie), Tony (Roslyn), Robert (Ruth), and Linda (Aaron); grandchildren: Jessica, Ryeker, Chaz, Calin, Tyler, Chelsea, and Samuel. Chris also has relatives in British Columbia and Wales, all of whom will feel the loss.  Many friends in the surrounding area too will miss her sharp wit and infectious laugh. A love of gardening and being outdoors since her early retirement kept her very busy as did being on the town council in Drinkwater. Chris was also preparing to run for Mayor.  This wonderful woman touched the hearts of all that knew her and will always be sadly missed but lovingly remembered.  A Celebration of Chris’ Life will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. at W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, 106 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw. Pastor John Duerksen will officiate.  Private family memorialization will take place at a later time.  For those so wishing, memorial donations may be made to the Saskatchewan Heart & Stroke Foundation, 2360 2nd Ave., Regina, S7H 1A6 or to the Canadian Lung Association, 1231 – 8th St. E., Saskatoon, S7H 0S5. In living memory of Christina, a tree will be planted by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.
