NICK
COZMA,
age 84 of
Moose Jaw
died peacefully on Friday, August 3, 2007 at Pioneer
Village. Born November 19,
1922, Nick enjoyed working on his farm in the Kayville district.
As a young man he married Elsie Ignatescu in Kayville,
Saskatchewan on December 4, 1954. They
resided in Kayville until 1993 when they moved to Moose Jaw, making it their permanent home. Nick was a veteran of World War II, from 1942–1945.
He returned to the family farm, worked for the RM
of Ogema
in 1973 and the Ormiston Salt Mine in 1974, retiring in the
Kayville district in 1988. In
his spare time Nick enjoyed Bingo, fishing, playing cards and
playing with his grandchildren.
Nick and Elsie entertained and delighted seniors with their
company and with their jokes. Nick was a happy, kind hearted man
who had a good sense of humor and could be found joking around.
Nick is predeceased by his parents Fritz and Ann, his brothers:
Pete and John, and sister
Lena
. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Elsie of almost 53
years; four sons: Dale (Doreen), Brian (Cathy), Stan (Shirley) and
Randy Blair (Barb); eighteen grandchildren and nine great
grandchildren, two brothers Dan and George and two sisters Mary
and Elaine. The
Funeral Service will be held Friday, August 10th at 1:30 p.m. at
W.J.Jones and Son Funeral Chapel.
Reverend Frank Mitchell will officiate. Royal Canadian Legion Funeral Rites will be conducted by
Roscoe Steele, Moose Jaw
Branch #59. Visitation for family and friends will be held
Thursday evening, 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will
take place at Rosedale
Cemetery. For those so
wishing, a memorial contribution to the Royal Canadian Legion
Poppy Fund, 268 High Street West,
Moose Jaw, S6H 1S8
would be appreciated. In
living memory of Nick, a tree will be planted by W.J.Jones &
Son Funeral Home.
