JOHN CLINE

JOHN ROBERT CLINE of the Moose Jaw district, passed away May 17, 2007.  Born March 3, 1948 in Moose Jaw, John was raised in the Belbeck area. He attended Postville, Alexandria and Riverview, receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Diploma in Education at the University of Saskatchewan.  John returned to the family farm following his father’s death in 1970. He and his wife Jean were married in 1971 and farmed in later years with their sons until his passing.  Predeceased by his parents, Holley and Ruth Cline, John is survived by his wife, Jean and sons: John (Erin), James and Joseph, and by his grandson, Jesse. John was a farmer in the finest sense of the word.  He passed his appreciation of the land and livestock on to his sons. John served on the local elevator committee, the Lindale School Board, and was involved in the Moose Jaw 4H Sheep Club.  He also played slow pitch and spent many evenings watching the Moose Jaw Warriors in their endeavors.  A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. at Rosedale Cemetery.  Pastor Roger Foust will officiate.  Those wishing to attend may meet at the W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home between 1 - 1:30p.m. to follow in procession to the cemetery. A reception will follow at 2p.m. at the W. J. Jones & Son Family Centre, 262 Athabasca St. E. For those so wishing, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 104 – 2301 Ave. C. North, Saskatoon, S7L 5Z5. In living memory of John, a tree has been planted in Wakamow Valley by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.
