ROBERT G. "JAY" BUSBY

(Video Tribute)

Robert Gerald “Jay” Busby, born July 12, 1926, died peacefully with his family by his side September 17, 2007.  He is predeceased by his wife Shirley in 1998, parents Gordon, Helen Busby; and sister Joyce Triebor.  Jay is survived by: Greg (Mary) of Penhold, AB, and their family Brandon, Jill (Adam) Hogaboam of Red Deer, AB;  Barrie (Cheryl) of Regina and their family, B.J. of Lanigan, Chris of Regina; Joan (Dale) Zimmerman and their family, Christi of Moose Jaw, step-granddaughters Karri (Taylor) Mickleborough of Caron, Bobbi (Aaron) Machuik of Craven; brothers and sisters: Lorne (Phyllis) of Victoria, Bev (Maynard) Gray of Moose Jaw,  Beryl Smith of Edmonton, Jack (Judy) of Boissevain, MB. From Jay’s early career with the YMCA to his illustrious career with Crown Life Insurance, he developed life long friendships with clients and associates. During his lifetime Jay was an avid outdoorsman, spending his time gardening, skiing, canoeing, hunting, golfing  and walking.   A Celebration of Jay’s life will be held at W.J.Jones & Son Family Centre on Friday September 21, 2007 at 2:00 pm. Della Ferguson will be the celebrant. In memory of Jay, “Rest Stop” benches will be placed in Wakamow Valley and Spring Creek Valley.  Memorials to the Relay for Life, 61B Ross St. W., Moose Jaw, S6H 2M2, would be appreciated.
