PATRICIA ANDERSON

Patricia Joan passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on September 21, 2007. Patricia was born in Moose Jaw July 14, 1943. She is predeceased by her father and mother, Eric and Edna Smith and brother Donald Smith. She will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Stu, daughter Beverly (Wayne) Paysen and their daughter Nicole;  brother Garnet (Barb) Smith, sister-in-law Donna Smith; step-children Mark (Sheryl) Anderson and their children Brody and Chelsea, Janice (Stephen) Gaunt and their children David and Janelle; mother-in-law Alto Anderson, brother-in-law Vernon Anderson, sister-in-law Norma Gieni-Dunbar (Chris);  many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that were very near and dear to her. Patricia started working for the Moose Jaw Co-op at age sixteen and she was a very loyal and dedicated employee until her early retirement at age fifty-five. Patricia volunteered countless hours to her many causes and beliefs and was known for her unlimited supply of energy.  She was an active member of O.E.S., Grandview United Church and Ina Grafton Gage Auxiliary. She brought joy to everyone she met.  A Service to Celebrate Pat’s life will be held at Minto United Church on Tuesday September 25, 2007 at 1:30 pm.  Reverend John Carley will officiate.  Memorialization will take place at the family plot, Rosedale Cemetery. Memorials to the Five Hills Palliative Care Program, 455 Fairford St.E., Moose Jaw, S6H 1H3, would be appreciated. In living memory of Pat, a tree will be planted by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.

We younger girls looked up to her as a mother hen, and she always got a kick out of our "weekend stories". So sorry for your loss, she will be deeply missed.

Marilyn Cropp Wall - Moose Jaw/Cold Lake: I heard from Connie Pinnow about Pat's passing. Pat knew my whole family from the Coop. The Campbells, Cropps, Quarks. When Mom ( Jean Cropp) was working in the cafeteria Pat was there. They knew each other from Star as well. Many times we would choose Pat's checkout just to chat with her! And sometimes swap news downstairs during coffee break. I did have a cry when I found out...As my folks would've said ,"She was a real trooper and a nice person." She made a difference!!!

Diane Kraus - Kitchener, ON: Pat was my forever friend. Our mothers were best friends and we were born two months apart. Even though we were separated by miles we always kept that connection. I'm so glad I visited her last summer! She'll always be in my heart. Sincere condolences to her family.
