ALMA DONEY

Alma Beulah Doney (Fortman) went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, December 4, 2006. She was born to William and Lavina Boyd at home near Louisa, Quebec on February 16, 1918, the youngest of a large family.  In the late 1940’s Alma moved to Saskatchewan to join family members.  In December 1951 she married Earl Fortman who passed away in June 1990.  In 1991 she married Ralph Doney who passed away in February 2002. Alma enjoyed her last two years at Ina Grafton Gage Home. Alma is survived by her family: Etta (Bill) Froats and family, Robert (Shirley) Fortman and family, Betty (Robert) Whiteman and family, Gordon (Nancy) Doney and family, Mike Darling, Pam Yamniuk and family, also a very special friend and sister-in-law, Margaret Fortman, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.  The Funeral Service will be held in the W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, 106 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw on Thursday, December 7 at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Phil Canning will officiate. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday evening 7-9 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Memorials for the Canadian Diabetes Association, 104, 2301 Ave. C. North, Saskatoon, S7L 5Z5 would be appreciated.  In living memory of Alma, a tree has been planted in Wakamow Valley by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.
