PHYLLIS DOMMER

PHYLLIS CATHERINE DOMMER (Paulson) passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on October 20, 2006, at the age of 76. Phyllis was born July 21, 1930 in Vanguard, Saskatchewan. She moved to Moose Jaw in 1946 and attended Peacock High School. After graduating she worked at Imperial Building Supplies and SaskTel.  In 1951 Phyllis married Gerald Dommer and in 1959 she left the workforce and devoted her time to be a mom. She gave birth to Danette in June 1959 who passed away December 1959.  Darcy was born in 1962 and Sonja in 1966.  Throughout her life she was involved in Kinettes and the Royal Purple. Phyllis will be deeply missed as a loving wife, mom, sister and friend. She is survived by her husband, Gerald; her children: Darcy (Gloria) and Sonja (Maggie); grandchildren: Shelby, Colton, Christina and Christopher; her sisters: Delia Busse and Alice (Dave) Guenther; sisters-in-law: Denise (Walter) Blaisdell and Linda (Dennis) Kerr.  A Celebration of Phyllis’ Life will be held Saturday, October 28 at 2p.m. in the W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, Moose Jaw. Pastor Bill Thomson will officiate.  Interment will take place at Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Phyllis’ memory to the Saskatchewan Heart & Stroke Foundation, 2360 2nd Ave., Regina, S4R 1A6. In living memory of Phyllis, a tree will be planted in Wakamow Valley by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.

Jackie King, Abbotsford, BC: Dear Gerry, Darcy & Sonja & family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss.  Please take good care of yourself Gerry!  I think of you each day when I see my framed Saskatchewan wheat that you gave us for our wedding present.  It is up in our kitchen and reminds me daily where I come from and where my friends and family are.  You are true friends to my parents and have always been supportive to us.  Thank you!  My mom and sister are coming here Thursday and are unable to cancel their flights.  I'm sorry they will miss the funeral.

Carl Hanson - Saskatoon, SK: Saddened to hear about the passing of your wife Phyllis  Met her when we went to school at peacock high. Remember her as a beautiful young lady at that time The good lord has a pattern for all of us  Loosing a spouse must be a difficult time as part of life. Met up with our old school mate Ted McDowell this week ,who was in town to visit his sister Ruth Maybe we can get together again to reminisce old memories and fun times after many years apart.
