ALLEN DODS

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of KENNETH ALLEN DODS on November 24, 2006, at the age of 54 years. Allen was born at Mankota, Saskatchewan on November 24, 1952, the oldest of three boys born to Ralph and Gladys Dods.  He attended school in Climax, Meyronne, Moose Jaw and high school at Western Christian College in Weyburn.  After high school he moved to Alberta and worked at various jobs until he moved back to Moose Jaw in 1988. When he returned Allen worked various jobs that involved driving.  He found a job driving taxi at two different companies, Amils and Central. Al really enjoyed his job. He met many interesting people from all walks of life.  Some of the most interesting people came from the Canadian Forces Base at Moose Jaw, as a result he became very good friends with many of the Military personnel. He became known by some of his fares as Al, Big Al, Car #8 or Car #5.  Big Al will be missed by every one of them and many other friends and co-workers.  Al is survived by his wife, Wendy, his four children: Steve (Paula) and their children: Drew and Oaklan; Sherri and her children: Paige and Zaydin; Karen (Jeremy) and their children: Anthony, Jessica and Cayla, and Vicki (Tim) and their children: Austin and Jadin, his parents, Ralph and Gladys; two brothers: Keith, Mel (Patrick).  He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, his in-laws, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.  The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 1, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. in the W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Chapel. Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday evening, 7-9 p.m. at the Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Saskatchewan Heart & Stroke Foundation, 2360 – 2nd Ave., Regina, S4R 1A6 or to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 104, 2301 Ave. C.
