MRS.
VIVIAN DAVIDSON, age
89 years of Moose Jaw, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2006.
Born at Macrorie in 1916, Vivian moved to Outlook in 1932
and to Moose Jaw
in 1940. She worked as
food supervisor at St. Anthony’s Home for fifteen years,
retiring in 1981. Vivian enjoyed her home, playing cards and
Bingo, but especially looked forward to spending time with her
family and friends. Predeceased
by her parents, her son, Maurice Smart in 1945 and her sisters:
Margaret, Beatrice and Avis; her brothers: Arthur, Maurice, Verden
and Clifford who was killed in action and buried in
Bergen-Op-Zoom, Holland in 1944, and her husband, James (Jim) in
1993, she is survived by her son, Ben (Joanne) Smart of Regina,
daughter Doreen (Brian) Stevenson of Moose Jaw; grandchildren:
Rick (Sherri) Kaytor, Brenda (Don) Hutchinson, Brian (Norma)
Kaytor and Debbie Kaytor – all of Moose Jaw ;
great-grandchildren: Jennifer, Jim,
Derek, Greg, Bryan (Erika), Randy, Nicole and Jeff, as well
as several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Vivian’s wishes, there will be no funeral
service. Following
cremation a private family service will take place at a later
date. For those so
wishing, memorials may be directed to Providence Place
(Edgar Hall), 100-2nd Avenue N.E.,
Moose Jaw,
S6H 1B8. In living memory of Vivian, a tree will be planted in Wakamow
Valley
by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.
