ALLAN BURKE

ALLAN BURKE, age 87 years of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, passed away quietly at the Union Hospital with his family at his side on Wednesday, July 19, 2006.  Allan leaves to mourn, his loving wife of fifty-eight years, Jerrine; sons Brent (Edith) Burke and David (Caroline) Burke; daughter Julie (Floyd) Akre; eight grandchildren: Cindy, Johnny, Chris, Murray, Dwane, Jennifer, Carri and Curtis; six great-grandchildren; two sisters: Trudy (Ron) Bedford and Elma Rollo, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at the W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, 106 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw on Saturday, July 22, 2006 at 1:00 p.m.  Jim Low will officiate.   Royal Canadian Legion Funeral Rites will be conducted by Moose Jaw Branch #59.  In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Allan’s memory to the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund, Branch #59, c/o 268 High Street West, Moose Jaw, S6H 1S8. In living memory of Allan, a tree will be planted in Wakamow Valley by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.
