ROBERT EDWARD BOWYER

October 14, 1924 August 15, 2006

Robert “Bob” Bowyer, age 81, of Moose Jaw, passed away peacefully in Regina on Wednesday, August 15, 2006 with family by his side. Born in Virden, Manitoba to Harry and Ida Bowyer, Bob spent most of his life working in the oil fields in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta for Esso Resources. He retired to Moose Jaw and was active in the Moose Jaw Camping Club and volunteered at the Humane Society and Canadian Mental Health Association. Predeceased by his parents, Bob is survived by his wife, Aline; daughters: Shirley Burton of Winnipeg, Donna Bowyer and Allan Atsu of Moose Jaw, and Joyce Pletz of Swan Hills, Alberta; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The Funeral Service will be held at the W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Chapel on Friday, August 18, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. Gary Johnson will officiate. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, for those so wishing, memorial donations may be directed to the Canadian Mental Health Association, 261 High St. W., Moose Jaw, S6H 1S7. In living memory of Robert, a tree will be planted in Wakamow Valley by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.
