HETTIE
MARGARET BIDEWELL,
born February 3, 1914 in
municipality
of Exel
in the
Crane Valley
district,
Saskatchewan
in a sod shack, passed away May 16, 2006 in the Moose Jaw
Union Hospital. Hettie married Henry
Bidewell in 1939 in Moose Jaw
where they raised their six children.
Upon Henry’s retirement they moved to the Grande Prairie
area in 1974. After
Henry’s passing in 1999, Hettie came to
Moose Jaw
for a visit in 2002 and having medical problems, remained in Moose Jaw
until her passing. Predeceased
by her husband, Henry – 1999; brothers:
Arnold, Aylmer, Ivan and William, and grandson, Donovan Bidewell. Hettie is
survived by her sister, Hilda (Jack) Casey of Langley, B.C.; her
six children: Grace (Bill) Storrie of Breaverlodge, Alta., Leslie
(Sandi) of Spruce Grove, Alta., Viola (Arlen) Avery of Moose Jaw,
Doreen (Raymond) Saathoff of Moose Jaw, Sharon (Norbert) Jans of
Grande Prairie, Alta., and Donald (Nancy) Bidewell of Bezanson,
Alta., as well as twenty grandchildren, thirty-five
great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and one foster
niece, Maxine (Alvin) Jacobson of Calgary, Alta. and their
children. The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 20, 2006
at 1:30 p.m. in the W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, Moose
Jaw. Interment
will follow at Sunset
Cemetery. For those so
wishing, memorials may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 61B
Ross St. W.,
Moose Jaw,
S6H 2M2. In living memory of Hettie, a tree will be planted in Wakamow
Valley
by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.
