INEZ BEESLEY

Inez Helen Beesley (nee Thompson) of Black Diamond passed away peacefully on August 14, 2006 at the Oilfields General Hospital in Black Diamond, Alberta. Inez was born August 2, 1915 on the family farm at Riverhurst, Saskatchewan, the youngest daughter to Donald and Mary Thompson. She was a long time resident of Moose Jaw and district before moving to Alberta in December of 2005.  Inez was an accomplished pianist and taught music for a number of years. She was also a seamstress. She married Eldon Beesley on October 4, 1939 and they farmed the family farm until retiring in 1980, they had one daughter. Inez was a member of the St. Andrews United Church, a life member of the Royal Purple Lodge #9 as well as the Senior Citizens Club. Inez is survived by her daughter Cheryl (Morris) Rathwell, granddaughter Terry- Lee (Shane) Gretz, grandson Chad Rathwell and great grandchildren Zachary and Chloe Gretz and Gillian Rathwell. She is predeceased by her loving husband Eldon, her parents Donald and Mary Thompson, sister Ruby Miller and two brothers William and Clifford. In Celebration of Inez’s Life a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at 11:00 in the W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, 106 Athabasca Street East with Linda Owens officiating.  For those so wishing, memorials donations to Autism Treatment Services of Canada, 404 – 94th Ave., Calgary, AB, T2J 0E8 would be greatly appreciated. In living memory of Inez, a tree will be planted in Wakamow Valley by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.

We had a great visit with her in Moose Jaw a couple of years ago and have a nice video of her playing the piano and talking to my Mom and Dad (Fred and Lucille Hansford) via the tape. My folks send their condolences and we are all thinking of you with love and sympathy.
