IDA BALFOUR

Ida L. Balfour of Moose Jaw, passed away Tuesday December 12, 2006 at the age of 95 years.  She was born in Germany on October 24, 1911 and came to Canada as an infant with her parents to the Herbert district. Ida married Allan Balfour in October 1938. They retired to James Street in Moose Jaw in the early 1970’s, later moved to Langdon Towers, and eventually to Providence Place. Allan and Ida enjoyed many trips during the winters to Florida and Texas, and visiting relatives in BC.  Ida enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and always loved the company of family and friends.  Ida is predeceased by her husband, Allan (Sept.2006), and siblings. She is survived by brothers, Ben (Clara) Puddell, Robert (Loretta) Puddell and many nieces and nephews.  A Celebration of Ida’s life will be held at W.J.Jones & Son Chapel on Friday December 15, 2006 at 1:30 pm.  Della Ferguson will be the celebrant.  Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. Memorials to a charity of choice, would be appreciated. In living memory of Ida, a tree has been planted in Wakamow Valley by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.

She was such a little lady , always asking where Allan was or where her room was. I enjoyed just visiting with her. My Condolences to all of you a great gift has been lost. Know that the Lord will see you through these sad times.
