ALWIN ANGELL

It is with profound sadness that the family of ALWIN PETER ANGELL: aka “Charlie” announce his sudden passing on Sunday, October 1, 2006.  Alwin spent a great deal of his adult life in pain, but he still made the most of every day.  He had a great love for life and a caring way with people.  Alwin had a way of making a connection with anyone and touched their lives in a positive way.  His wife and daughters were the loves of his life.  He took great pride in the accomplishments of his girls.  Alwin will be greatly missed by all who knew him.  He is survived by his wife, Jody and daughters: Megan Beiber, Darian and Chandler.  He is also survived by his parents: Jim and Myra Penrod; brothers: Robert and David (Jenine) and their children: Darion and Devin; sisters: Kate (Glenn) Hetherington and their children: Whitney and Logan; Zoe (Ryan) Cunningham and their son, Xander. He will also be mourned by many other relatives and numerous friends.  A Celebration of Alwin’s Life will be held at the W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, 106 Athabasca St. E. , Moose Jaw on Thursday, October 5, 2006 at 2:00 p.m.   Della Ferguson will be the celebrant.  It was Alwin’s fondest wish that his three daughters succeed.  In lieu of flowers, a trust fund has been set up for the girls: Angell Trust c/o Royal Bank, Main Branch, 52 High St. W. , Moose Jaw , S6H 1S3 . In living memory of Alwin, a tree will be planted in Wakamow Valley by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.

Darrell Denet - Moose Jaw, SK: I coached Darian and Chandler in bowling and it was hard not to notice how proud he was of his daughters. He supported them thru his cheering and thru the little side bets he had with them for achieving a certain goal. He will be truly missed at the bowling centre. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Barry  Seaborn - Moose Jaw: Wow, I'm in shock .. I just met Alwin at a poker tournament last week and enjoyed chatting with him. He was a very kind man. Your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Dave Cameron - Lumsden, Sask.: Sad to see such a young life taken, he worked for me during his high school days. My sympathies go out to the families.

Annie Amanda Bartel - Moose Jaw: Hi chandler, we are so sorry to hear about your dad call us after things settle down and we can go play and visit or even go bowling together one night .  Hi Jody,  I'm  very sorry to read in the paper about Alwin , please call we try together for a coffee sometime. Michele Britton - Moose Jaw, SK: Jody & girls - Alwin was an all around wonderful man. His last name suits him perfectly! I played poker with him and gave him the nickname "All-In Alwin",  because whether he was playing poker or listening to a good joke or story....he was always ALL-IN! We will all miss him dearly. Just know that Alwin is your light and your guide. He will always be the "Angel(l)" on your shoulder. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this very difficult time.

Bobbi Hildebrandt Handford - Calgary AB: Alwin and I were good friends growing up and one of my fondest memories is of him pulling me on the sled he used for his paper route.  Though we lost touch over the years, I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing.  My thoughts and prayers go out to his widow and their children.
