TOMIE
ENDO,
age 97 years of Moose
Jaw,
who was a loving wife and mother, passed away on June
1, 2005 at Extendicare. Born to
Qugoro and Tori Agatsuma in Miyagiken,
Japan
on Novemner 13, 1907. On
her marriage to George Chohei in 1927 they moved to Moose
Jaw
in 1928. She was a
long time member of St.
John’s
Church.
Predeceased by her parents, all her siblings of Japan,
her husband in 1969 and daughter, Elsie Endo in 2003.
Tomie is survived by her only son, George of Moose Jaw;
daughters: Doreen Fumiko Greenaway (Tod) of Nelson, B.C., Marian
Knight of Dallas, Texas and Joyce Endo of Toronto, Ontario; three
grandchildren, several great-grandchildren of B.C. as well as
family relations in Japan. A private graveside service and
memorialization of cremated remains will take place on Tuesday, June 7, 2005
at Rosedale
Cemetery.
Friends are invited to join the family at 2:00 p.m.
(Tuesday, June
7th) at the W.J.Jones & Son Family Centre, 262 Athabasca St.
E.
for a further time
of fellowship and refreshment. In lieu of flowers, Mrs.
Endo’s memory may be honoured with a gift to St. Aidan Anglican
Church or to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Saskatchewan
Heart & Stroke Foundation. The family extends heartfelt
gratitude to her immediate attending physician and the staff at
Extendicare who lovingly cared for her during her confinement
there. In
living memory of Tomie, a tree will be planted in Wakamow
Valley
by
W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.
