LOEN COLWELL

MRS. LOEN CHRISTINE COLWELL (nee Heggie) of Moose Jaw passed away to be with her Lord on Wednesday, November 16, 2005. She was born at Gull Lake, SK in 1940. Loen married Hugh Roderick Colwell May 18, 1952 in Swift Current. Predeceased by her father, James Heggie and a brother, Fred Erz, Loen is survived by her mother, Florence Heggie of Regina, loving husband, Hugh of Moose Jaw; her three children: Arthur (Rebecca) of Dallas, Texas and Roderick (Denise) of Moose Jaw and Christine (Barry) Nichol of Deer Valley, SK; grandchildren: Kim (Doug), Amber, Blair, Kristen, Chelsea and Taylor and great-grandchildren; her sisters: Angie Darling of Calgary, Anne (Glen) Hagan of Regina and Nelda Pierce of Regina, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The Service of Remembrance will be held at the W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, Moose Jaw on Monday, November 21, 2005 at 3:30 p.m.  Pastor Cory Steinson will officiate.  Cremation will follow with memorialization in the Moose Jaw Cemetery at a later date. Visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday evening 7-9 p.m. at the Funeral Home.  In living memory of Loen, a tree will be planted in Wakamow Valley by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.

For the time that I had to spend with her, I found that she was a warm and hospitable person. I enjoyed every minute of speaking with her and there is no doubt that she will be greatly missed.
