Uncle Russell and Aunt Velda - Vancouver, BC: Our thoughts are with you.....much love to all of you.

Perry Boeker - Vancouver BC: The big guy is gone. It wasn't supposed to happen this way. Richard lived life large. "Hey Frenchman, have I got a story to tell you." This was the opening line to conversations that ran over two decades. It was always greeted with a smile, a sigh, and a slump of the shoulders, just before he would tell me to "Go fly a kite" or some similar type statement.
Is is possible there was too much love in his heart to be contained within one man? I think so. We are all better people for having shared a moment, a rum and coke, a beer, a smile, and a laugh with this delightful man. The lazy boy couch will never be the same. The house which was filled with happiness will remain as such because Richard's spirit lives on in Michael, Cole, and Greg. Carol you will see that special sparkle in each of the boys eyes for the rest of your life. My deepest sympathy for your loss, our loss. Through your boys he will live forever. Much love, Perry, Caroline and Olivia
