Dear Carl, Paulette, and Jamie:  Please accept our heartfelt sympathies over Polly's death and know that our whole family feels our own sense of loss with her death.  Polly was so much a part of our family, at our weddings, our funerals, our christenings.  She helped us out in so many ways, serving as our confidante, our advisor, our "crying towel", our friend.  She was an adult figure who could guide us "Friel kids" not as a parent but as a wise friend.  Her good nature could tease us out of our funks and get us smiling again.  Her gentle kindness made it so easy for us to love her and to want to find in ourselves that same kindness.  And her voice always filled our house with music (my first introduction to Kenny Rogers was through Polly).  In short, we so respected and loved her.  May you take comfort in knowing that Polly's love for people came right back at her ten-fold.  Each one of us has more than one special memory of your Mom.  She was a lovely, lovely person who left her mark on the hearts of many.  Sincerely, Jon Friel, Joanne Robertson, Mark Friel, and Dawn Friel Hipperson ("the pork-and-bean kid")

Madeleine Hoppenreys - Moose Jaw, SK: Dear Carl,Paulette And Jamie: Just saw her a short time ago. And was such a surprise to hear  she was sick in the hospital. Will sure miss her for the great times we had in the past. Had a great talk about her little family how she enjoyed her trips when she would visit you all. Will sure miss her and her good friendship.

Alex and Jennie Patterson - Moose Jaw Sask.: To all of Pauline's family we would like to send our deepest sympathies. We first met Pauline back in 1978 when my children and I moved to Moose Jaw. Pauline always had that special smile to make you feel at home. My husband and I used to play darts down at the Anavets but have since left.  We would often see Pauline riding her bike or out for a walk and she always had time to stop and chat.  Pauline will be sadly missed by us all. Sincerely Alex and Jennie Patterson and family

Cindy Neniska - Interlake, MB:  Dear Jamey, Paulette, and Carl.   I am so sorry to hear of Pauline's passing.  Lorne and Charlene send their sympathy as well.  Please take care!

Char Neniska, Aspen Park,  MB: My brightest blessings go out to everyone for the loss of the most kind hearted, wonderful woman in the world, Gramma Pauline.
My deepest regret is that I was not there to say goodbye to her, but I am glad that she was not alone. My love and light is greatly extended to all of those who feel the loss of her passing. Love always, Char Neniska (step daughter of Dean Neniska)
