MRS. DELLA BERTHA BROWN
formerly of Moose Jaw
and Darmody, Saskatchewan, passed away at the
Herbert Nursing Home on Monday, December 20,
2004
at the age of 97
years. Born at Greenbrier, Saskatchewan, August 4, 1907, Della married Vern
Brown at Outlook, Saskatchewan December 24, 1925. They farmed in the Darmody District, retiring to Moose Jaw
in 1972. Della had become a resident at the Herbert Nursing Home in
September of 2004. Predeceased
by her husband, Vern, infant daughter, Della, daughter-in-law,
Beverly, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild, Della is
survived by her sons: Gordon (Elsie) Brown and Ronald Brown
(Julie), Norman Brown; daughters: Doris (Bill) MacLachlan, Alta
(Jake) Burgess, Marion (Dale) Scott, Ida (Lorne) Chelsberg,
Carolyn (Denys) Stubbins, Corrine (Larry) Wendt; twenty-eight
grandchildren, forty-two great-grandchildren and sixteen
great-great-grandchildren; her sisters: Muriel Tucker, Edith
Forsythe, Melba Molde, Hazel Maitland and Joyce South.
The Funeral Service
will be held on Wednesday,
December 29, 2004
at 1:30 p.m.
in the W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, 106
Athabasca St. E.,
Moose
Jaw.
Pastor Marvin Seaborg will officiate. Interment will follow at Sunset
Cemetery. Visitation for
family and friends will be held Tuesday evening 7-9
p.m.
at the Funeral Home.
For those so wishing, memorial contributions may be made to
the Herbert Auxiliary of Homes. In living memory of Della, a
tree will be planted in Wakamow
Valley
