FLORENCE
V. BLANCHARD passed away suddenly on
Wednesday, January 7, 2004
at the age of 76 years.
Born in the Courval area, she attended school and grew up
there. Florence
married Roland Blanchard July 12, 1951
and the couple resided in Courval for a short
time. They later
resided in
Moose Jaw
and
Spy Hill, Saskatchewan. Florence
was one who enjoyed people, welcoming them
into their home, feeding them and making sure they were full.
She enjoyed all kinds of sports, especially curling.
Florence
was a devoted housewife to her husband, four
children and grandchildren. She
truly enjoyed the yearly Tremblay family reunions. Predeceased by
her parents: Joseph and Delvina Tremblay; four brothers: Oliver,
Joseph, Armand and Reo, one sister, Julie Meili and son-in-law,
Lionel Erlendson. She
is survived by her family: husband of 52 years, Roland of Spy
Hill, Saskatchewan; children: Elaine Erlendson of Spy Hill, Vivian
(Mike) Carambetsos of Kenora, Ontario, Michael (Anita) of Moose
Jaw and Brian (Georgina) of Yorkton; eight grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren as well as special friends, Jim and Irene
Hawes of Ituna and Edna Olson of Edmonton, Alberta. The
Funeral Mass
will be Celebrated on Monday, January 12, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. from
St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Moose Jaw. Father Brad Fahlman will preside. A Prayer Service led by Ken and Ruby Kerney will be held Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m.
