LUELLA FRANCIS

MRS. LUELLA (LUE) FRANCIS of Moose Jaw, passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 30, 2003. Lue was born in Moose Jaw.  In 1935 she married Harry Francis and the couple farmed in the Clinton district until 1950 when they moved to make their home on the south east outskirts of Moose Jaw.  Lue was employed with Thatcher Hardware and for many years worked at Patterson Motors here in Moose Jaw. Lue and Harry enjoyed their Saturday morning garage sales and Lue continued to enjoy and kept busy collecting antiques, buying, selling and collecting.  She was predeceased by her husband, Harry in 1995, infant daughter, Dorothy, her brother, Ken Brownlee and sister-in-law, Irene Brownlee. Lue is survived by her sister, Verna (Ray) Wood of Moose Jaw and their daughter, Dorothy, one niece, Jean (Gord) Hudson and their family and one nephew, Orval (Joanne) Brownlee and their family. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 3, 2003 at 1:30 pm in the W.J.Jones& Son Funeral Chapel, 106 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw. Della Ferguson will officiate.  Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery. Memorials for the Saskatchewan Heart & Stroke Foundation, Box 521, Moose Jaw, Sask., S6H 4P2 would be appreciated.  In living memory of Lue, a tree will be planted in Wakamow Valley by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.

Marylou Wills - Moose Jaw, Sask.:  I met Lue through her garage sales and her collecting.  It later became a friendship, whether it was lunch, tea, or a quick hello.  It didn't matter who you were you were always a good person in Lue's eyes. I will miss her. Take care.

Don Jackson   Arlene Bye - Fernie, BC: We will miss Lue as a person who brought happiness to those around her. She lived life with an energy few can match and never stopped as long as work had to be done. Good bye Lue, we will remember Ross Street.
