Vera
Victoria May Dunlop,
aged 89 years, of Moose Jaw, passed
away peacefully on Tuesday,
July 15, 2003, with her
family by her side. Vera
was born in Moose Jaw
on May 24, 1914
.
She worked at Swift Meats and as a clerk at Eaton’s for
many years. Vera
enjoyed gardening and flowers, and loved to sew, but her passion
was her baking. Not
only family and friends sampled her baking; she took many
ice-cream pails full to her doctor, dentist, car mechanic, etc. Vera was also very involved at St.George’s Anglican
Church where she volunteered many hours.
She had a great sense of humour and always had a joke to
share. Vera moved into
Pioneers Lodge in February 2000 where she kept active in the many
programs there. Vera
is predeceased by her parents, Samuel and Annie Archer; husband,
Charlie; sisters, Lillian and Eileen; brother, Harry; son, Bryan
and grandson, Mark. She
is survived by her sisters: Ruby
– Surrey, BC; Ivy – Victoria, BC; Elsie – Moose Jaw; and
brother, Roy – Regina Beach;
grandchildren: Brenda,
Wanda and Heather and numerous
great-grandchildren. She
also leaves to mourn a special niece Jill (Lance and family),
along with many other nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at St.George’s Anglican
Church,

Montgomery Street, on
Friday, July
18, 2003
at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at Rosedale
Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Pioneers
Lodge Recreation Dept. 1000 Albert ST. Moose Jaw, S6H 2Y2, would be
appreciated. In
living memory of Vera, a tree will be planted in Wakamow
Valley
by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.
