MARY DMYTRYSHYN

On Thursday, July 24, 2003, Mary Dmytryshyn, former long-time resident of Moose Jaw, passed away at the age of 95 years in Toronto, Ontario.  Born in Ukraine in 1907, she came to Canada in 1930, first to Alberta, then to Montreal and finally Moose Jaw in 1937.  Married Peter Dmytryshyn in 1937.  Predeceased by husband in 1982, sister Antonia Galczyk of Moose Jaw in 2000, and sisters Anastasia, Olena and Marta in Ukraine.  She is survived by two sons:  Jerry Dmytryshyn of Toronto, Dr. John Dmytryshyn and wife Linda of Vancouver; five grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Anna in Ukraine and Justyna in Slovakia.  The Funeral Service will be held in the W.J.Jones and Son Chapel on Thursday, July 31, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. Deacon Yuri Lazurko officiating.  Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.  Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, July 30, 2003, 7-9 p.m. at the Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Saskatchewan Heart & Stroke Foundation, Box 521, Moose Jaw, S6H 4P2 would be appreciated. In living memory of Mary, a tree will be planted in Wakamow Valley by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.
