FRED COURTNAGE

On October 4, 2003 at the age of 87, Fred Courtnage passed away peacefully at Providence Place with his family at his side.  He is predeceased by his sister, Constance Brown in 1998.  Fred leaves to mourn his beloved wife of 63 years, Jessie; his sons, Ralph and his wife, Juanita of Moose Jaw; Donald and his wife, Pat of Winnipeg;  granddaughter, Alesya and her husband Anthony of Toronto; grandsons, Todd of Moose Jaw; Ryan and Darren of Calgary; and Andrew of Winnipeg; and his sister, Dorothy Mair and her husband, Alex of Moose Jaw.  Fred managed the family business, Moose Jaw Distributing Company (International Harvester dealership) for 33 years, until his retirement in 1974 at the age of 58.  The family would like to thank the staff of Providence Place for the special care they gave Dad over the past three years.  A Service of Remembrance will be held at W.J.Jones & Son Chapel on Tuesday, October 7, 2003 at 1:30 pm. Linda Owens will officiate. Memorialization will take place privately at Prairie Memorial Columbarium.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Canadian Cancer Society, 223 Fairford St.E., Moose Jaw, S6H 0E1, would be appreciated. In living memory of Fred, a tree will be planted in Wakamow Valley by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.
