passed away
November 27, 2003
at the age of 80 years. Annie
was born in
Kilmarnock
,
Scotland
on
March 20, 1923
.
She worked in a Munitions factory during WWII and in 1943 she
met a Canadian Soldier, Harold Carman, who she loved dearly.
He went to
Italy
and Anne waited until he returned from the War and they were married
December 26, 1945
.
The couple came to
Woodrow
,
Sask.
in 1946 and to
Moose
Jaw
in 1947, where she has since resided.
Anne worked as a salesclerk, best known for her years at
Eaton’s and Sears Catalogue. She
is predeceased by her husband, Harold in 1994; her parents, and
brothers and sisters in
Scotland
.
Following Anne’s wishes, A Graveside Service will be
held at
Rosedale
Cemetery
on
Wednesday December 3,
2003
at
1:30 p.m.
Legion Padre Doug Shepherd will officiate.
Royal Canadian Legion Associate Rites will be conducted. A
Memorial Tea will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion. Donations to
the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund would be appreciated.
