LORETTE CANTELON

On Tuesday, February 25, 2003, our Lord took home LORETTE LYDIA CANTELON.  Awaiting there were husband, Leonard Cantelon, 1997; her parents, Arnold Meginbir, 1989, Lydia Maginbir, 2001, and infant brother, Gerhardt Meginbir, 1947.  Lorette was born April 7, 1936 in Valor, Saskatchewan and is lovingly remembered by her children: Gina Cena (Jeff) of Edmonton, AB, Garry Tonita (Lucy) of Alberta Beach, AB, Glen Tonita (Cheryl) of Pilot Butte, SK, Iris Todd (Murray) of Edmonton, AB, and Len’s son, Gregg Cantelon of Toronto, ON; grandchildren: Erin Nelson, Jill Nelson, Shawn Tonita, Jake Tonita, Jesse Tonita and Megan Cena; brother, Leon Meginbir (Anne) of Mazenod, SK; sisters: Ruth Rice (Wendell) of Beaverlodge, AB, Irene Peters (Walter) of Calgary, AB; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Eva Lowe of Moose Jaw, Marie and Lee Soparlo of Assiniboia, Dora Hordenchuk of Assiniboia, Steve and Peggy Tonita of Prince Albert and Dian Tonita of Regina as well as numerous other relatives and friends.  Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 28, 2003 at 2:00 pm at the W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, 106 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw.  Pastor Harvey Zink will officiate.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Westhill Park Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 8025 Sherwood Drive, Regina, SK, S4Y 1G1 or to Friends of 3B c/o Hospitals of Regina Foundation, #225, 1874 Scarth St., Regina, SK, S4P 3Z6 would be appreciated by the family. In living memory of Lorette, a tree will be planted in Wakamow Valley by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.

Hab Love and Betty Lou Earl - Regina, Sask.: Dear Iris and Murray, We were so sorry to hear about the passing of your mother, Iris.  Hab and I always enjoyed our visits with her at the mall.  She was a wonderful person and we are so glad that we had the opportunity to know her.  Our thoughts our with you at this time.

Shannon and Dale Bellamy - Chemainus, B. C.  : Dear Gina, Garry, Glen, Iris and Families - Your Mother had a special way of moving through this life; one that I have tried to emulate over the years.  Working with her had a profound influence on me and those years were very special.  We had some great times.  Please know that Dale and I will both cherish her memory.  This evening, in her memory, I planted a primrose in my garden and I'll tend it with love.  Sincerely, Shannon and Dale.

Jean Sadlemyer - Assiniboia, Sask: My sympathy to the family of Lorette.  Sorry I wasn't able to attend the funeral as I was away .My family & Arnold & Lydia were friends of long ago in the Ettington/Vantage district. I went to school with Lorette for a while.
