HELEN
BRUNSDON of Moose Jaw, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2003
with her husband by her side.
Helen was born in Moose Jaw
on May 26, 1927
to Sam and Edith who immigrated to Canada
about 1918.
She was an only child. Helen attended Empire
Elementary School, Central Collegiate in
Moose Jaw
and also attended Davidson
Business
College. She
was employed at the Royal Bank in Moose Jaw from 1949 – 1951,
then at the CPR as a stenographer and Timekeeper from 1951 –
1960 and as Registrar at S.T.I. from 1961 – 1985 when she
retired. On
June 21, 1957
Helen married Douglas Brunsdon at Moose Jaw
Trinity
Church. Besides
her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Melissa Anne and two
grandchildren, Jared and Jenna. Helen belonged to the Canadian Club, the Prevention Walking
Club, and Nature Moose Jaw. She
always loved walking, especially in
Wakamow
Valley, her garden, the lake, and her pets.
Helen came to stay at Providence Place
in July, 2002. Funeral Services
will be held at the W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, Moose
Jaw
on Thursday,
July 3, 2003
at 1:30 p.m.
Interment
will follow at Rosedale
Cemetery. Memorials
for the Alzheimer Association, #301-2550-12th Ave., Regina, S4P 3X1or to the Moose Jaw Humane Society,
Box 1658, Moose Jaw, S6H 7K7
would be appreciated. In living memory of
Helen, a tree will be planted in Wakamow
Valley
by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.
