BENSON,
Violet (Campbell), 93, passed away peacefully at Pioneers Lodge, Moose Jaw
on
March 20, 2003. Her life was filled with caring, loving and compassion and many
sacrifices for her family. She was a teacher by heart, always
willing to share with others. Her quick smile and the sparkle in
her eyes endeared her to those who knew her. She was active in
several sports and enjoyed tennis into her senior years. She was
born in Bridgeford,
Sk, and moved at a young age with her family to Assiniboia where
they operated the Campbell Hotel. She married Ervin of the Lisieux area and he operated a
bulk fuel dealership initially in Lisieux and later in Moose Jaw. Together they raised four sons - Garry, Lyle, Roy and Dennis. Violet
is now reunited with her loving husband Ervin, son Roy, grandson
James (Jamie), brother Richard (Bud) and sister Mary (Marie)
Fears. Remaining, to celebrate her life, she leaves Garry and
Donna, Lyle and Linda, Dennis and Linda, of Moose Jaw, and
daughter-in-law Crystal (Roy) of the Edmonton area; grandchildren
- Lorraine (Gord) Knox, Christine (Ivan) Lissel and Sherri,
Steven, Loralee, Jason, Mark and Scott; great-grandchildren - Carly and Vanessa Knox, and Joelle
and Kienna Lissel; and sisters
Lillian Laframboise and Cecile Slough, both of Victoria. Your
sparkling blue eyes will long be remembered. We love you.
