PHYLLIS
ANN BACHIU (nee
Wilkening) passed away on
July
29, 2003
,
surrounded by her family, following a brief stay at Regina General
Hospital Surgical Intensive Care Unit.
Ann was born
May 4, 1949
in
Eastend
,
Saskatchewan
,
the third child of Phyllis (Price) and Rodney Wilkening.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bob, her two sons,
Michael (Moose Jaw) and Darren (Victoria, B.C.), her beloved
grandchildren, Miranda, Justin, Kirsten, and Andrew and Cadence, her
sisters and brothers, Pat Lorje (Saskatoon), John Wilkening
(Calgary), Shari Mickleborough (Moose Jaw), Susan Richards (Moose
Jaw) and Bob Price (Kamloops). Although
Ann experienced many illnesses throughout her tragically short life,
she always maintained her wonderful sense of humour, generosity and
deep religious faith. Ann
will be remembered for her distinctive laughter and her incredible
love for her grandchildren. Ann’s
family wishes to thank her many friends and caregivers for their
love and support. They
also extend their deepest respect to Dr. Suzanne Meiers, and the
caring staff at the
General
Hospital
.
Ann, “Gammie” will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
The Funeral Service will take place on
Tuesday, August 5,
2003
at
10:00 a.m.
in the W. J. Jones
& Son Funeral Chapel with Father Gerry Bauche and Stephanie
Molloy officiating.
Interment will follow at
Rosedale
Cemetery
.
A trust fund for her grandchildren has been set up in Ann’s
name at TD Canada Trust,
Moose
Jaw
.
In living memory of Ann, a tree will be planted in
Wakamow
Valley
