Mr.
Erhardt Baender of
Moose Jaw, passed
away peacefully the evening of
December 24,
2002
after a
strong battle against Alzheimers.
After arriving in 1953, he worked initially on a mink ranch
and was later employed by the City of Moose Jaw Parks and
Recreation Dept. His
next employment was at the greenhouse complex at the Sask.
Training
School
before
starting his own greenhouse business in 1965 under “Moose Jaw
Greenhouses". As a
devout Canadian and lover of all aspects of nature, he will be
missed by many. Erhardt
is survived by his wife, Annemarie –
Moose Jaw; sons: Horst
(Shirley) Baender – Moose Jaw; Rolf (Gerry) Bander – Brooks, AB.; and Claus (Cathy)
Baender –
Saskatoon;
seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at W.J.Jones & Son
Chapel on Saturday, December 28, 2002
at 3:30 pm. Reverend
Doug Shepherd will officiate. Visitation Friday evening 7–9 pm
at the
Funeral Home. Flowers
are gratefully declined, memorials to the Alzheimer Association,
#301–2550 12th Ave., Regina,
S4P 3X1, would be
appreciated. In
living memory of Erhardt,
a tree will be planted in Wakamow
Valley
by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral
Home.
